This is not an audition
I've been batting around this idea for a while, the gist of it is that, given that I have such a huge collection of games (around 530), why not go about writing up my thoughts on each.
My initial plans were to put this together as a site I'd build from scratch, but I decided instead to try out some blogging software instead, with the advantages of ease and free-ness (free-ity?).
My goal is to do semi-daily reviews. The titles to review will be selected randomly (as opposed to chronologically) with the hopes of both avoiding me only hitting up my favorites and to avoid getting bogged down on a single platform (since my games tend to come in bunches). I'd also like to keep the reviews somewhat 'fresh', or at least avoid being overly pedantic in my methodologies. The numbers you see corresponds to each title's number in my collection (visible amongst the links to the right).
Methodology wise, you will see a score (on a 0 to 10 scale with half-points). I had previously used a 100 point scale, but discovered it to be much more trouble than it was worth - reducing things proved to be outright... empowering or something?
Finally, the title comes from a toss-away line in the predecessor to my all-time favorite game, EarthBound Zero (aka Mother). The player may, while in the caves of Magicant, encounter the elusive Groucho. Groucho will not attack, but instead - given enough time - simply run away. Oddly the player will still recieve experience.
